The Independent Cat Society is proud to announce that Cleo, the lovely and friendly 14-year-old black and white candidate has been crowned the 2016 ICS Sweetheart. She earned the most votes in a close race, with Shadows, the handsome 7-year-old gray lap cat coming in second place, and Doc, the sweet and playful 2 year-old gray tabby, in third place.
ICS is also happy to say that Doc won an even better prize this week - his forever home! The remaining candidates, from 4th - 9th place, were Azura, Bobby, Candy, Mr. Mellow Yellow, Opie and Mouse. ICS thanks the Sweethearts' teams and everyone who voted and/or attended the Sweetheart Day Event on February 27th for making this year's contest a huge success, raising over $9,000.00 for the cats and kittens of ICS. And a special thanks to the Valparaiso Moose Lodge 1357 for hosting this event at their lodge located at 108 Indiana Ave., Valparaiso, IN.
The Sweetheart candidates, and many other cats and kittens are available for adoption at ICS. Please visit them at the shelter, located at 4061 S County Line Rd, Westville, IN on Saturdays from 10 - 4 and Sundays from 1 - 4.
