Don Plomann, of Best Buddies Pet Pantry, was the winner of the 2 roundtrip airline tickets on Southwest Airlines which were raffled off recently to help raise funds for the Independent Cat Society's Medical/Dental fund. Don and Cheryl Plomann are two really wonderful people who want to help pets stay with their families and do what they can to help this to happen.
ICS volunteer, Jocelyn Vereb, presented Don with the tickets recently, where he told us that he didn't buy his raffle tickets for the prize but simply to 'help the cats'. Don also told us that they really enjoy working with the volunteers of the ICS because they all work so well together. He said that when they were at the ICS for an event in April, and also when they have been at other events with the ICS, they felt learned a lot about shelters and rescuing pets from our volunteers.
We thank you Don for your kind words and hope that you and Cheryl enjoy your tickets.
The Independent Cat Society was founded in 1977 and is a non-profit, no-kill cat shelter. Their mission is to promote the welfare of all animals, especially cats, by reducing overpopulation, educating the public, preventing cruelties to animals, promoting responsible pet ownership, and working for more humane legislation.
