With Governor Holcomb’s announcement that the state of Indiana will enter into the next stage of reopening, restaurants have been given the green light to reopen at half capacity for in-house dining. However, there may be some uncertainty as to whether your favorite restaurant right here in the Region is offering in-house dining, carryout, delivery, or all of the above. So, here is your guide to what local restaurants are doing to continue to serve our community as the state slowly reopens.
Blackbird Café
Need a cup o' joe? Blackbird Café in Valparaiso is now open for limited seating! No more than 15 people can be inside at a time, plus the outdoor seating the cafe provides during warm weather. In-house and pickup and curbside service will be from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays!

Culver’s
Culver’s in Valparaiso has announced it will be postponing the original June 1st opening date until either June 8th or June 15th. But on a positive note, Culver's patio space is officially open as of Monday, May 25th! There are 9 tables on the patio, all spaced at six feet apart. For more information about ordering procedures, read here. As a courtesy to guests, Culver's will be offering a free pint of custard for orders order $25 from May 25th until May 31st!
Culver's will continue to offer drive-thru service so that you and your family can get your ButterBurger and custard fix! The drive-thru will be open from 10:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sundays.

Fiddlehead
Michigan City’s Fiddlehead’s is now open for in-house dining! The restaurant will observe social distancing guidelines as it welcomes back patrons. Fiddlehead will also continue to do carryout orders as well. You can order online at https://fiddleheadmc.com/ or call 219-210-3253.

Industrial Revolution Eatery & Grille
Industrial Revolution Eatery & Grille in Valparaiso is open for in-house dining at 50% capacity! Stop in for your delicious American fare from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. They are currently not taking reservations at this time.

Kelsey’s Steak House
Valparaiso’s Kelsey’s Steak House is now open for in-house and patio dining! No more than six people are able to dine together and there will be no seating at the bar. The staff is taking extra precautions to ensure everyone's safety. From consistent sanitation of high-contact surfaces to cards that let a server know if you need assistance, Kelsey's Steak House is ready to welcome patrons back.
Drive-thru and curbside pickup will still be available for those wishing to continue social distancing! Curbside carryout will be from the hours of 4-7 p.m. on Wednesdays through Sundays, with an expanded menu. They encourage Preorders due to high volume during dinner hours. Call 219-255-8401 to order.

Patrick’s Grille
Patrick’s Grille in Michigan City is open for partial in-house dining! While the restaurant is only open for dinner, lunch service will resume within the next couple weeks. For those still wishing to social distance, Patrick's Grille will continue its curbside pickup service! Hours are Tuesdays through Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and reservations are required for in-house dining.

Sunset Grille in Michigan City is tentatively planning to open Sunset Grille Concessions on June 12th from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.! The rooftop will be closed until further notice.
