IHOP® Restaurants is pleased to announce the opening of its first restaurant in Hammond, Indiana, located at 938 Indianapolis Blvd on Monday, December 12 at 6 a.m. CST. The newest restaurant for the iconic brand will serve all of the delicious, made-to-order breakfast foods and beverages that IHOP is known for -- like its Original Buttermilk Pancakes, fluffy Omelettes, hickory-smoked bacon, and International House Roast Coffee® served from a Never Empty Coffee Pot® -- all day, every day. Guests will also be able to enjoy craveable, limited-time culinary delights found only at IHOP, as well as signature lunch and dinner items, including new, 100 percent USDA choice beef burgers on a Brioche bun.
Visitors to the Hammond IHOP will first notice the restaurant’s contemporary look, reflective of the warm and inviting atmosphere characteristic of IHOP restaurants nationwide. Guests entering the restaurant will be greeted by the new IHOP “smile” logo, which was unveiled last year and is the perfect embodiment of the brand promise. Inside, special design touches include whimsical “bubble” screens, porcelain wood-like tile flooring, and the beloved banquette seating associated with the brand since first opening in 1958. Diners may also be surprised to find that the pendant lights used to create a soft glow throughout the restaurant mimic the copper color of other recognizable IHOP pieces, like the syrup caddy.
Owned and operated by longtime Chicagoland IHOP franchisee, Michael Ruben, the familyfriendly restaurant will welcome guests seven days a week, 24 hours a day, including all major holidays. The addition of IHOP to Hammond brings about 80 jobs to the community.
