Art comes in many forms. In downtown La Porte, art is coming in the form of ice sculptures to help launch WinterFest, the City of La Porte Park Department’s days of winter activities. From 4pm to 7pm on January 23th, people can come downtown and see the ice sculptures being made live by the ice artists.
The Ice Sculpture Demonstrations will be taking place throughout downtown La Porte in front of shops on Lincolnway, State and Clay Streets. Local shops hosting ice sculptures include We-Pay-More, La Porte Savings Bank, Kessler’s Lofts, Fenker’s Furniture, Magic Sports, Etropal, Suds on State, Mucho Mas, and the Co-Op Shoppes.
These sculptures and artisans were sponsored by local businesses including NIPSCO, Qubit Networks, Suds on State, Fenker’s Furniture, Allstate Insurance, Anytime Fitness, Meridian Title, La Porte County Life, Packaging Logic, and the La Porte Urban Enterprise Association.
