Horizon Bank Vice President Daryl Crockett (seated, center) stopped by Michigan City High School Wednesday afternoon to wish the school's Science Olympiad Team well as it heads to Indianapolis for the state finals this weekend. Horizon is funding the team's expenses for the trip.
Seated next to Crockett are Team Assistant Coach Katie St. Germaine and Coach Bob Gray. Team Members include: Seniors Zak Chappell, Wes Deutscher, Sierra McGinnis, Lillianna Pollnow, Ashley Ronvick, Veronika Werner, and Emily Yussum; juniors Mackenzie Clark, Kieri Everett, and Kiera Williams; and sophomores Christine Duers, Anasatasia Keelor, Joselyn Schooley, Ruth Serrano, Claire Werner, and Grant Wozniak.
The students will be competing against schools across Indiana in a variety of science and engineering events.
