Holladay Properties, a real estate development firm, with over 230 employees with a variety of expertise in this field, is looking for a Project Architect/Project Designer for its Portage, Indiana office. The Project Designer will work with the in-house design team to provide support to Project Developers on a variety of project types; including, but not limited to - industrial, hospitality, mixed-use, multi-family, planning and economic development consulting, etc. Under the direction of the Project Manager and/or Project Architect, candidate will create project conceptual design, presentation drawings, renderings, and construction drawings as well as data collection, analysis, and policy research, and then draft plans, reports, and easements based on research analysis

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Assist in the design process from beginning schematics through construction
  • Prepare presentations drawings & reports for internal and external project communication to investors, municipalities, and coordinating disciplines.
  • Attend project team meetings
  • Prepare schematic land and site planning drawings with graphic content to convey ideas, methodologies, and approaches for marketing and proposal requests.
  • In-house design for Holladay Owned and/or Managed Buildings and Tenant Improvements
  • Prepare schematic design, design development, and construction drawings under the supervision of Project Manager/Project Architect
  • Coordinate design intent with outside architectural consultants as required on projects.
  • Assist in preparing design guidelines, land development standards and narratives, along with other project creative writing.
  • Knowledge of architectural design, programing, site planning, building codes, building materials, and construction techniques.
  • Keen eye for graphic clarity in presentation drawings and renderings
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Working experience with REVIT, AutoCad, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and a strong commitment to team effort through the spirit of collaboration
  • BS degree in Architectural Design and/or Interior Design, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the above-mentioned Duties and Skills

IT Assistant – South Bend, IN
Holladay Property Services Midwest, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated skilled individual ready to take the helms as a full-time IT Assistant in our South Bend, IN office. This is a 40 hour work week position, but it may require before or after hours support from time to time. The primary focus of this position will be in the areas of computer operations, user and desktop support (hardware and software), helpdesk and data management. Competitive compensation package available.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Perform MAC (Moves Adds Changes) of hardware and software
  • Work with end users to resolve issues
  • Create documentation and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Manage network servers and technology tools
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  • Support of a multi-tenant Office 365 environment
  • Support of on-premise phone system as well as cloud hosted VOIP solution
  • Support of user issued company mobile phones

Qualifications:

  • A minimum two years proven experience in an I/T support role
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License required as there is some travel involved
  • Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Familiarity with Desktop Operating systems and applications
  • Ability to identify and communicate process improvement solutions
  • Ability to solve complex problems

Commercial Maintenance Technician – South Bend, IN
Holladay Properties' South Bend, Indiana office is seeking an energetic, talented and efficient individual to join its experienced maintenance staff. This full-time crew member will assist in the maintenance of several commercial properties. Job responsibilities will include repairing, installing, replacing and maintaining machinery, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, fixtures, plumbing, tools and building materials. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be comfortable handling and operating hand tools, power tools, and have a general knowledge of building maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 3 years commercial maintenance experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift 80lbs

Residential Maintenance Technician – Elkhart, IN
The Residential Maintenance Technician (RMT)’s primary responsibility is to maintain the physical integrity of Maple Lane Apartments in Elkhart, IN. This involves insuring a safe, secure and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors and staff. The RMT will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by the Property Manager. The RMT must be knowledgeable of pertinent laws, EPA and OSHA regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials, including solvents, flammables, caustics and Freon.

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repair, as directed, involving electrical, plumbing (including water lines), AC and heating systems, Appliances (when applicable), water irrigation systems, stairs, gates, fences, patios, railings, tile, carpet, flooring, roofing, gutters, fasteners, interior/exterior lights, fireplaces, ceiling fans, gas fixtures and appliances (where applicable), shutters, doors, cabinets, windows, sliding glass doors, boiler (gas and electric), door locks, P.O. boxes, security systems (where applicable), ceiling leaks, walls, pool areas, tile and pool furniture.
  • Constantly be aware of the condition throughout the community and immediately initiate action to correct unsafe conditions such as broken gates leading to the pool, broken steps, open holes, broken/burned out exterior lights
  • Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment, and inspect and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Report all major repairs and need requisitions to Property Manager prior to any expenditure of funds.
  • Meet with service vendors and contractors to get bids, when needed.
  • Assist in keeping grounds neat and free of litter.
  • Perform all work related to snow removal and ice management which includes but not limited to shoveling, salting, plowing and all procedures related to weather related control measures.
  • Maintain all aspects of a swimming pool: cleaning, chemicals, and knowledge of all safety issues.
  • Answer on-call maintenance requests 24 hours per day on a rotational basis
