HFL Announces 2025 Grants Awarded to Date

This year, Health Foundation of La Porte (HFL) accepted grant applications addressing strategic priorities (Healthy Children, Healthy Living, and Healthy Minds) and Healthy La Porte requests on a rolling basis from January through June.  

As of June 2025, HFL has awarded 30 grants totaling $1,914,780, which brings HFL’s total amount invested in the community since 2017 to more than $49M. 

HFL will announce the second round of 2025 grantees in late September.

Healthy Children – 8 Grants Totaling $346,222 

  • Boys & Girls Clubs of La Porte County: 2025/2026 Capacity Building $93,473
  • Family Advocates: School-Based Mentoring Program Expansion $76,800
  • Girls on the Run of Northwest Indiana: Confident La Porte County Girls $25,000
  • La Porte Fire Department: Vehicle Safety Seat Program $9,949 
  • New Prairie United School Corporation: Be Your Best! $90,000
  • Tri-Township Consolidated School Corporation: Ensuring ALL Students' Needs are Met Through the Support of a Full-Time Social Worker $25,000
  • Youth Service Bureau: Kids on the Block $6,000
  • Youth Service Bureau: School Buddies $20,000

  • Hanna Township: Hanna Community Park Improvement Project $100,000
