On Wednesday, August 6 at 1 p.m.at La Porte Fire Station #1 located at 809 W. 18th Street, the La Porte Professional Firefighters Local 363 will kick off their annual “Fill The Boot” campaign. Please join us to help get the word out on this very important fundraising campaign for Muscular Dystrophy. Our local firefighters will hit the streets and ask passers-by to contribute --money in the boot.
This year marks the 60th Anniversary of the partnership between the MDA and the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF). “Fill The Boot” is an honored tradition for both organizations, for 6 decades, MDA and the IAFF have fought together against muscle diseases that threaten the lives of infants, children and adults. To date the IAFF has raised $530 million for MDA.
