Harmony House/CASA Program of La Porte County Encourages Interested Individuals to Make a Lifelong Difference for Local Children

Harmony-House-CASACASA volunteers are appointed by judges to watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children, to make sure they don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system or languish in an inappropriate group/foster home. Volunteers remain with the child’s case until it is closed and the child is placed in a safe, permanent home. For many abused children, their CASA volunteer will be the one constant adult presence – the one adult who cares only for them.

We currently have over 50 cases waiting for a CASA Volunteer, with more being added each week.

Our next training session will begin on March 4, 2014. Classes run every Tuesday evening from 5:30-9:00 for 7 weeks.

Whatever time you have to devote to a child, it’s more than that child has ever had.
