For the past century, Harley-Davidson has carved itself a place as the American motorcycle brand through innovation, quality craftsmanship, and a community that’s passionate and welcoming. Every year since its founding, the company has been improving upon what they know works, and 2024 is no different.
Harley’s 2024 lineup sees 24 bikes and trikes hitting local stores. The most significant redesigns appear in Harley’s grand touring category. Grand touring motorcycles are better suited for long-distance rides and feature a suite of comfort features: cruise control, radio functions, and GPS capabilities amongst others.
Two of Harley’s most popular grand touring models – the Street Glide and Road Glide – saw the most redesigns in the group.
“The Street Glide has an all new design. New fairing, new stereo – it's all together a whole new motorcycle over last year,” said Jeff Haggerty, general manager of Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso and Harley-Davidson of Michigan City. “It's the same thing for the Road Glide. Those two models go hand in hand.”
While the grand touring models offer everything a distance rider might need, Harley has a suite of motorcycles for every other need. Are you offroading? Try out the Pan America. Do you have a need for speed? The Sportster S has you covered. Looking for something a little more classic? Any of 2024’s eight cruiser models will help you achieve that signature biker experience.
2024’s lineup of bikes also features four new editions to Harley’s Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) family of motorcycles in celebration of the CVO family’s 25th anniversary.
“A CVO comes with all the extras,” said Haggerty. “Every year, we have a wish book that has all the optional accessories, and the CVOs come with those right from the factory. They usually come with a custom paint job, a performance motor – those bikes have it all.”
This year’s CVOs include the 2024 CVO Street Glide, the 2024 CVO Road Glide and Road Glide ST, and the 2024 CVO Pan America.
“I'm a fan of the Road Glide, and this year's Road Glide ST is probably my favorite bike,” said Haggerty.
While all 24 models are available for purchase worldwide through Harley’s website, motorcyclists looking to see the bikes in action have plenty to look forward to as the weather heats up in the Region.
“They're coming in; we're getting deliveries every couple of days,” said Haggerty. “We're starting to stock the showroom with them, and when the weather breaks, we're going to do a demo where we'll get some people out actually riding them.”
