The Hanna Lions Club will be selling their world famous BBQ Chicken on Oct. 26 in the town of Hanna. The take-out chicken will be available at a drive-thru at the Hanna Park beginning at 12 noon on Saturday until gone. The cost is $6 per half chicken. For large quantities, bring your own container.
The Hanna Lions have been cooking their BBQ Chicken for over 60 years. The unique sauce was developed especially for the Hanna Lions who have perfected their own open-pit charcoal grilling techniques and equipment. “The chicken is delicious hot or cold and can be frozen and enjoyed all winter long, so stock up,” according to Hanna Lions President, Dave Urschel. “It also makes great chicken salad”, Urschel continued. Funds from the sale help support the activities and programs of the Hanna Lions Club, including park maintenance, scholarships, community activities, and special needs.
