Hammond Sportsplex Branches Out with New STEM Camp

Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and the City of Hammond welcome a new program to the Hammond Sportsplex, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Camp. Various age groups are offered for this program and include ages 5-9, 10-14 and 15-18. The program takes place at the Sportsplex on June 7th-11th from 10am – 11am for ages 5-9, 11:15am – 12:45pm for ages 10-14 and 1pm – 2:30pm for ages 15-18. Participants will be able to learn about the categories of STEM in addition to participating in experiments.

This program is open to residents as well as non-residents of the City of Hammond.

Registration for this event is $40 and is taking place at the Hammond Sportsplex located at 6630 Indianapolis Blvd. This fee provides instruction for the program and includes materials donated by Bishop Noll Institute in Hammond to be used for experiments. Spaces are limited to 20 kids per age group, all of which are required to come wearing a face mask or covering. Registration is open until May 31st.
