With the support and generosity of donors through our Annual Campaign, we assist everyone who qualifies. Our 2015 Annual Campaign will kick off in January. Preschool Basketball - La Porte & Michigan City Branch
While teaching children the basic sport fundamentals to include physical fitness, Preschool Sports incorporates basic team building skills in a fun, safe and nurturing environment. The season provides your 3-5 year old with a 30 minute practice and a 30 minute game, held on Saturdays. Registration Begins: Dec. 10 Dates: January 10th to Feb 21st Every Saturday at 9:00 AM

Youth Basketball - La Porte Branch & Michigan City Branch

Youth Boys Basketball Grades K-5 - La Porte Branch
Basketball fundamentals, character development and fun is where the game was invented - the Y. K-1 will have 1/2 practice 1/2 scrimmage SATURDAYS ONLY. The season starts with a skills clinic on Saturday, Jan. 10th at 9am. Practices begin the week of Jan. 19th. Games will start Saturday, Jan. 24th, and run through Saturday, Feb. 28th.

Youth Coed Basketball Grades K-6 - Michigan City Branch
Basketball fundamentals, character development and fun is where the game was invented - the Y. K-1 will have 1/2 practice 1/2 scrimmage SATURDAYS ONLY. The season starts with a skills clinic on Saturday, Jan. 10th at 9am. Practices begin the week of Jan. 19th. Games will start Saturday, Jan. 24th, and run through Saturday, Feb. 28th. A tournament will follow the season on March 7th for Grades 4-6 . K-1 will have 30 minute practice and 30 minute scrimmage on Saturdays only

Youth Coed Cheerleading Grades K-8 - La Porte Branch & Michigan City Branch
Y Cheerleading is designed to teach the basics of cheerleading to children who have never cheered before, to those who are looking to improve their skills and those who want to excel towards competition level. Focus will be on good sportsmanship, cheer movements and cheer rhythm. The YMCA core values will be emphasized throughout the season. Registration Begins: Dec. 15 Preschool:Jan. 24th to Feb 28th, Day: TBD
Grades K-8: Jan. 24th to March 7th, Day: TBD

Youth Coed Indoor Soccer Grades K-5 - La Porte Branch & Michigan City Branch
For players grades K-5 who cannot get enough of soccer, we take our league indoors during the winter months. Players enjoy the constant, off the wall action, while keeping their skills sharp until the spring. Registration Begins: Dec. 15 Skills Clinic on Tues., Jan. 20 Games will begin Tues., Jan 27th to Tuesday, March 3

All registrations may take place at our La Porte Branch, Long Beach Branch and our Ivy Tech Office. Our Ivy Tech Office is located at the Ivy Tech Community College - Michigan City Branch on 3714 Franklin St., Michigan City. Office hours will be Monday & Wednesday 9AM to 11AM and 3PM to 6PM and Friday 9AM to 11AM and 3PM to 5PM.
