Kerrie Panagiotidis, of Hebron, foreground, was among about 30 participants June 5 in a second annual Cancer Survivor’s Day Canvas Painting Party in the Marian Education Center of Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Crown Point. The event was termed a “time to create and celebrate” for those who have faced the potentially deadly disease.
They were led by instructors from the hospital’s Breast Cancer Center who coached them in painting a tropical island seascape setting. They also were treated to refreshments.
