Franciscan Health Crown Point employee volunteers construct wall frames April 21 for a Habitat for Humanity Home that will be built in May in Lowell for a needy hospital employee and family.
The work, which took place on the hospital’s helipad, was done under the watchful eye of Michigan City-based Tonn and Blank Construction workers, who offered advice and assistance to the volunteers, about 50 of whom were expected to participate as the day went on. They were rewarded with a complimentary lunch. The walls will be transported to the site.
