Four NWI Leaders Selected for Michiana’s Forty Under 40

Four-NWI-LeadersOn Friday, June 1, 2012, La Porte County was well represented in this year’s Michiana Top Forty Under 40. This award is a collaborative effort to honor 40 young professionals under the age of 40 for their contribution and accomplishments in both their workplace and community in the Michiana Region. The four NWI Leaders that were selected for the 2012 class are Blair Milo, Amanda Chraca, Neil Mangus and Charlie Roberts.

Blair Milo, Mayor of La Porte, was recognized for her leadership and dedication to positive change in the city of La Porte. She has served our country as a Lieutenant for the U.S. Navy and is now on the front line in La Porte fighting the war on drugs.

Amanda Chraca, Purdue Extension, was selected in the 2012 class for her commitment to improving the economic development in La Porte County and other counties across the country. She has been a driving force in retaining and educating the young professionals in La Porte County.

Neil Mangus, IU Health, was named into the Top Forty Under 40 for his devotion to improving the quality of life for La Porte County. He is passionate about improvement, innovation, and helping others.

Charlie Roberts, Horizon Bank, was awarded for his passion in developing, connecting, and empowering the next generation of leaders. As the president of the NWI Leaders he is constantly working with other local young leaders to provide an atmosphere that will help retain the talented youth in La Porte County.

Neil stated, “I think we’re all really proud to be recognized for giving back to the community. It’s a great honor and I know it will help motivate us to continue our servant leadership in La Porte County and surrounding areas.”

The Michiana’s Forty Under 40 is an initiative of the Young Professionals Network (YPN) in partnership with The Chamber of Commerce of St. Joseph County, Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce, the South Bend Tribune, and the supporting sponsors Gates Automotive Group, Barnes & Thornburg and Crowe Horwath.
