Four MCAS Students Chosen for All-State Honor Choir

Four-MCAS-Students-Chosen-for-All-State-Honor-Choir-2017Four Michigan City Area Schools vocalists have been selected to sing in the 146-member Indiana Elementary Honor Choir. The students, who are from Knapp and Pine Elementary Schools, will sing at the Indiana Music Education Association’s professional development conference on January 11 and 12, performing at the Embassy Theater in Fort Wayne.

The students were chosen for the highly selective honor choir based on teacher recommendations and their recorded auditions.

All-State Elementary Honor Choir participants are (L-R) Back Row – Darius Flores and Brooklynn Accardi of Pine Elementary, and Front Row – Arriana Pytynia and Madison Gresham of Knapp Elementary.

Choral directors for the students are Jeanne Bolen (Pine) and Steve Chambers (Knapp).
