What happens when an older, set-in-his-ways priest meets a brash, rebellious younger seminarian? The answer lies in the February production of "Mass Appeal" at Footlight Players in Michigan City.
Written by Bill Davis, the play contrasts two different styles of ministering, and shows how each man ultimately makes a difference in the other's life. Beloved by his parish, Father Tim is contented in his popularity, and more than willing to keep things that way. Then Mark Dolson attends Father Tim's Mass, and shakes Father Tim out of his complacency.
"Mass Appeal" is directed by Christine Wiegand, assisted by Alice Dickey, and stars Robert W. Komendera as Father Tim Farley and Christopher J. Whybrew as Mark Dolson (all of Michigan City). Show dates are February 1-3 and 7-10, curtain at 8 PM Thurs - Sat, 2 PM Sun.
