Footlight Players of Michigan City Present Neil Simon’s Comedy “Lost in Yonkers”

Footlight players of Michigan City will present Neil Simon's comedy "Lost in Yonkers" beginning April 4th and continuing with performances on April 5 & 6 and 10-13. Directed by Christopher Whybrew and assistant directed by Eric Helmken This play is set in Yonkers, NY in 1942. Bella (Emily Chidalek) is 35-years-old, mentally challenged and living at home with her mother, stern Grandma Kurnitz (Marianne LaRiccia). As the play opens, ne'r do-well son Eddie (John Avila ) deposits his two young sons Jay (Alex Britzke) and Artie (Michael Stantz) on the old lady's doorstep. He is financially strapped and taking to the road as a salesman. The boys are left to contend with Grandma, with Bella and her secret romance, and with Louie (Alexander Bonner), her brother, a small-time hoodlum in a strange new world called Yonkers. Tickets are $12.00 for adults and $10.00 on Thursdays and for ages 12 and under. Curtain is at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Doors open 45 minutes prior to curtain.
