The Footlight Players, Inc. of Michigan City IN, our area's award winning Community Theater, began their 66th season with the election of officers and board of directors on the evening of June 17th at their theater during their monthly meeting. These officers will take office on July 1st, the beginning of their season. Bobby Komendera will begin serving his 15th term as president and John Avila will remain in the office of vice president which he has held for the last 3 years. Past president and longtime member Jan Rice will take on the duties of secretary and Bill Wild will begin his 22nd consecutive year as the organization’s treasurer. The 3 general board members are longtime Footlighters Laura Meyer and Jim Milcarek and the newest member of the group is Anthony Holt.
The 66th season will present 6 major productions on their stage at 1750 Franklin Street in Michigan City. The scheduled shows are “The Odd Couple”, “Once Upon A Mattress”, “Dashing Through The Snow”, “The Glass Menagerie”, “Little Women-the Musical”, and “Cemetery Club”.
