Footlight Players of Michigan City ended their 63rd theatre season with its record setting production of “Fiddler On The Roof”.
Also completed was the balloting for the group’s Seventh Annual Theatre Awards. More than 27 individuals have been nominated for their theatrical contributions to the year’s 6 productions.
The awards will be presented during a banquet to be held at the Moose Lodge Family Center at 1108 Franklin Street, Michigan City on July 27th. Andrew Tallackson, former Michigan City News-Dispatch’s entertainment critic, will be also be honored as Footlight’s 2013 Hall of Fame inductee.
A cash bar will begin at 6:00 pm with a buffet dinner commencing at 7:00 pm. The awards presentation and entertainment will be at 8:00 pm with the announcement of the silent auction winners immediately following. More than 70 items have been donated by local business and individuals for this fundraiser.
