The Michigan City Mainstreet Association presents the First Friday Artwalk in the Uptown Arts District on February 1, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm. The Uptown Arts District is comprised of fine art galleries, businesses, retail and restaurants located in the area from 11th Street to the lake and Spring Street to Wabash Street in Michigan City, IN.
The First Friday of February features new things in the District, including a must-see opening reception at the Southern Shore Art Association at 724 Franklin Street. The Lubeznik Center for the Arts will have live playwrights, the Waters Edge Restaurant in Washington Park will have artist Dana Dabagia’s oil paintings, and the new Beach Bum Jewels will host a new product: Bowler Man Confections. Retail establishments Darling, Revive Consignments and Urban Soles will be featuring their own in-house artisans of handmade jewelry.
