Fiddlehead is looking to hire several new employees to fill summer positions. The restaurant is located in Michigan City, and is known for its grass-fed beef, and specialty menus that feature vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free choices.
Owner Aaron O’Reilly is looking forward to welcoming new staff.
“I probably have one position in every category that I could fill for the summer. Busers are what I need the most,” O’Reilly said.
Open positions range from kitchen help to bartenders. While experience is a plus, it is not required. Current Fiddlehead employees are willing to train new hires in-house this summer. What O’Reilly cares about most is the personality of the applicants.
“We’re really looking to make sure personality fits. We function like a family in a way, so we’re looking for someone who can fit with the personalities of everyone else,” O’Reilly said.
O’Reilly specifically desires someone who is hardworking, loyal, and comfortable with a fast-paced work environment.
The positions are ideal for potential applicants who don’t want or need a long-term job commitment.
“It’s a good opportunity for people in town who attend college because it’s a summer position. I’m looking for someone to get us through our summer months, but not necessarily full-time for the whole year,” O’Reilly said.
Fiddlehead is accepting both walk-in and online applications. O’Reilly said his preferred application method is through Fiddlehead’s Facebook page.
