"We often get 'caught up' in so many things, that we miss the beauty and intricacies of creation. Life is a God given gift for us to experience. Through my art, I hope to help others admire and comprehend His handiwork. I paint my subject matter in a reflective way; hoping that, in the sharing of my vision with others, I will enrich their lives. I choose oil painting, like the great masters of the Renaissance, for its permanence and expressiveness. The historical events they recorded are still vibrant and inspirational today."

Lyn's education consists of a degree in Graphic Art and Illustration from the American Academy of Art, Chicago, Illinois 1979. She has been a professional commercial artist for over 35 years. Her designs and illustrations include billboards, murals, paintings, drawings, magazines, books, and various other print and digital media. Her Art is in private collections throughout the United States and her award winning photography was published in the book "Oregionality, Sand, Steel and Soul".

Please join the artist on Friday February 1, from 5-8pm, during the free Opening Reception at the Southern Shore Art Association Gallery and the monthly "First Friday" celebration in Michigan City’s historic Uptown Arts District. Light snacks and refreshments will be served.
