“Fabulous 50’s” Variety Show Set for May 31, 2014

variety-show-2013“Chances Are” you have been to one of the last three Variety Shows held at the La Porte County Historical Society Museum. This year the theme will be music from “The Fabulous 50’s!” The show will be held on Saturday, May 31st starting at 7:00 p.m. on the lower level of the museum.

The doors will open at 6:15 p.m. so come early and save a seat, as we have “High Hopes” that this will be a popular show. While waiting for the show to start, make sure you catch the “Diners & Drive-ins” display as this will be the last day for it. It won’t cost “Three Coins in the Fountain” to get in, but regular museum admission will be charged.

Local talent will be performing popular songs of the 1950’s. Rose Marie Dure will be playing the keyboard for such artists as Jim “Frankie” Lampl, Robert “Elvis” Richter, Cathy “Doris” Hofer, Lucy “Patti” Vergo, Susie “Rosemary” Richter, Sheryl “Annette” Edwards, Bob “Johnny” Dure, and Bruce “Vic” Johnson. We “Sincerely” think this is one show that shouldn’t be missed!

We all know that “Love is a Many Splendored Thing”, so bring your “Secret Love” to the La Porte County Historical Society Museum, located at 2405 Indiana Ave. at the south entrance to La Porte. We know you won’t be “Singing’ the Blues” when you come to listen to some great “Music, Music, Music” from not-so-bygone days. The museum building is handicapped accessible. Please call: 219.324.6767 for more information. “Vaya Con Dios!”
