Experience Easter at Bethany Church

Living-Last-Supper-1One of the most significant events in the history of the Church was brilliantly portrayed by Leonardo Da Vinci centuries ago in “The Last Supper”. This Renaissance masterpiece comes to life on Thursday at Bethany Lutheran Church, 102 “G” St, La Porte, in “The Living Last Supper”. This dramatic re-enactment will make an emotional and spiritual impact by depicting the true significance of The Last Supper.

The original script encourages the audience to reflect and remember with Jesus and the Disciples the events of that evening, long ago. It was on that night that Jesus ate with his Disciples one final meal, having been betrayed by one of his own, knowing he would soon be arrested and sent to the cross to forgive those very disciples who abandoned him, one by one.

Living-Last-Supper-2Everyone is welcome to participate in the “Open Table” Communion that will be served by the Disciples.

Members of the cast are Dave Russell, Dan McKibben, Dick Smith, Jason Milo, Doug Schmidt, Pastor Dennis Meyer, Kyle Hartson, Mark Krentz, Chuck Steck, Dr. Jim Edwards, John Pappas, Bruce Johnson, and Kevin Mooney.
