Economic Round Table Caps Governor’s Visit to PNC

PencePNCvisitIndiana Governor Mike Pence visited Purdue University North Central today as part of a list of events he attended in Northwest Indiana. Upon arriving at PNC, Governor Pence was given a demonstration of laboratory equipment in the Fluid Mechanics Lab by three engineering students along with Dean Thomas F. Brady and Dr. Larryl Matthews, professor of mechanical engineering at PNC.

Following the demonstration, Governor Pence met with more than 20 community leaders attending an economic round table at PNC during which Pence spoke about higher education, workforce development, regulatory relief and projected fiscal surpluses in the State of Indiana. Among those attending were State Senator Jim Arnold, State Representative Tom Dermody and LaPorte Mayor Blair Milo.

Upon leaving the PNC campus, Governor Pence commented that he enjoyed his brief visit and would return to campus again in the future.
