Dunk Tank at Taste of Michigan City Will Benefit Stepping Stone Shelter

stepping-stone-shelterLocal celebrities will take part in supporting the Stepping Stone Shelter for Women all in good fun during the Taste of Michigan City this weekend.

Two current deputy prosecutors, a school resource officer and associate superintendent of Michigan City Area Schools and chairman of the La Porte County Republican Party are among 16 who have volunteered themselves for the dunk tank that will raise money for the shelter with the theme of "Dunking Domestic Violence." The dunk tank will be stationed on Franklin Street during the late afternoon and early evening hours on Friday and Saturday. All proceeds will go to Stepping Stone, the sole provider of 24/7 crisis intervention and recovery support services for women and children in La Porte County since 1983.
