The most fun, unique cultural event featuring adrenaline-pumping action, dragon boat racing grows in popularity each year as the 8th fastest growing sport in the world! Teams rave about the excitement, friendly competition and community spirit surrounding the event. Teams decorate their area, wear themed apparel and cheer throughout the day. We encourage teams to enjoy the day to the fullest extent!

Dragon Boat Racing is a ancient Chinese sport, which involves 16-20 team members paddling in unison to a drummer’s beat in a 41’ long, narrow boat decorated at the bow and stern with a dragon’s head and tail. Ages 13 and over, all skill levels and physiques can participate, making it the ultimate team building sport, requiring synchronicity and finesse, more than power to win. Co-workers, friends, spouses, church members, civic leaders, customers, neighbors, and others fill the winning teams.

Dunebrook’s Dragon Boat Races showcase competitive, community and corporate teams racing for the title of Grand Champion.

Spectators and team members can enjoy various activities on land including food vendors, exhibit booths, music and more. Also, you’ll get a chance to learn about Dunebrook’s Programs and the Organization’s impact on the community. Whether you want to win the race or watch your favorite team, join us on September 6, 2014!
