Art comes in many forms. In downtown La Porte, art is coming in the form of ice sculptures to help launch WinterFest, the City of La Porte Park Department’s days of winter activities. From 4pm to 7pm on January 24, 2014, people can come downtown and see the ice sculptures being made live by area ice artists. Businesses are needed to sponsor the sculptures to help support the event.
Sculptures, with ice provided by City’s Pure Ice, are $140 to area businesses for a single block and the business may request anything they would like to be created. If the sculpture demands more ice, the business may sponsor a sculpture for $215. If the business is located outside of downtown, their sculpture will be placed in a section of downtown.
