Downtown La Porte shops and businesses want customers to come out in their ugly sweaters on Thursday, December 6 from 4pm to 7pm to dine, shop, and enjoy discounts to start off the holiday season in style. The Downtown La Porte Holiday Open House features many businesses, restaurants, retail shops and antique stores throughout downtown remaining open late that Thursday evening.
“The first Thursday in December is a great shopping holiday,” said Tiffany Bley, Downtown Director. “People have calmed after Black Friday and are now in holiday-mode full swing. In hopes of them considering Downtown for their shopping destination, we’ve included the ‘Ugly Sweater Discount’ at certain participating businesses.”
Over 20 businesses are participating and are listed on the Downtown La Porte Facebook Page. The Greater LaPorte Chamber will also be hosting an open house that evening for networking.
Businesses will have holiday specials and as well offer a % 10 discount to anyone wearing an ugly sweater. Some discounts are not applicable, for example on consignment items or on alcohol.
