The Maple City Grand Prix is coming to La Porte the weekend of May 30th to June 1st and Downtown La Porte is hosting the race teams and their boats with a boat parade and block party. Friday, May 30th of the Maple City Grand Prix over 30 of the race boats and racers will parade down Lincolnway. The Downtown Block Party starts at 5:00p.m in the Herald Argus Parking lot at State and Monroe Streets.
The Block Party will include a hog roast, soft drinks, beer tent and entertainment by local favorites P.T. and the Cruisers. The parade starts at 6:00 p.m. culminating with an autograph and photo session with the drivers and their boats on State and Monroe Streets.
