Donaldson Dash

Donaldson Dash

Who wants to “dash”? Hopefully, the answer is everyone! This year will be the first annual, but third try, for the Donaldson Dash held right here at The Center at Donaldson campus on August 27. You might be asking yourself what a Donaldson Dash is exactly, and that would be a fantastic question that deserves a fantastic answer and lucky for us both, I have
that!

The Donaldson Dash is a 12-15 station Challenge course designed to test both your physical and mental capabilities. The course stations are divided into two categories: the Challenge course and the Family course. This one-of-a-kind event will be reminiscent of a school yard field day or for those television lovers, an Amazing Race-type adventure. Challenges could be anything from Yard-zee and the Lego challenge in our family course to Medicine Ball Crawl and the Kayak Sprint in our Challenge course.
We are looking for teams of no more than five to compete in the challenge portion, with a grand prize of up to $1000 and teams of any size and age to compete in our family course with prizes to be won throughout. So now your next incredible question may be HOW? How do I sign-up, how and where do I show up, and maybe you don’t want to race but would LOVE
to volunteer, how do I let someone know I want to help? Well again, all excellent questions and it’s your lucky day because I know all those things too! You can sign-up by simply visiting poorhandmaids.org and dropping down to the Donaldson Dash feature through the donate tab, where you can find all the information you need to form a team, register your family, volunteer for the day, become a sponsor, or just come and have some fun in our Dash Village.

That’s right, there is even MORE, if none of these things appeal to you but you would like to come and support our ministries, local vendors, or cheer on the participants. We have a whole village offering music, food trucks, ministry vendors, and so much more. So, if you are looking for some weekend fun in August and are available on the 27th between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. come “dash” with us!
