Digital Painting, Poetry Slam and Live Music Make Up First Friday in Downtown Michigan City

First-FridayThe Michigan City Mainstreet Association is pleased to present the First Friday Artwalk in the Uptown Arts District on April 6, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm. The Uptown Arts District iscomprised of fine art galleries, retail and restaurants located in thearea from 11th Street to the lake and Spring Street to Wabash Streetin Michigan City, IN.

The First Friday Artwalk features the latest exhibits at some of the Uptown Arts District’s finest galleries. Galleries and businesses will be open, featuring local artists, offering refreshments andentertainment. Lubeznik Center for the Arts will feature the PoetrySlam, a collaborative and competitive spoken word performance. Haas & Associates at 526 Franklin Street will be hosting a demonstration in‘digital painting’ with local illustrator Joe Condon.
