With a $500 donation, the Crown Point Lions Club continued its generous support of the Franciscan Health St. Clare Health Clinic. Its assistance has totaled $2,500 in recent years, part of $3,500 in donations the service organization has provided to the Franciscan Health Foundation.
“We wanted to make sure we were donating to people within our community and helping those who help others,” said Club Past President Dan Klein.
“Our motto is ‘we serve.’ We serve by giving to the community and giving money, but we also like to give our time and be out there in the community,” added Club Secretary Cindy Beckman.
Franciscan Health Foundation Director of Development Debbie Tatum said, “We’re so grateful for the continued support of the Lions Club. We’re looking forward to exploring more ways to partner together with the Club to improve community health and wellness in the area through philanthropy.”
