County Line Orchard Holds Concert to Benefit Veterans

CLO-Veterans-Benefit 2012-1Nearly 500 guests were expected at County Line Orchard in Hobart on Saturday night for a concert to benefit local veterans. The show featured over 20 artists including Old Skool, Chris and Lou, Crawpuppies, New Element and The Unstopables.

In addition to the music, three guitars were raffled off, beverages were served and some delicious food was for sale, including County Line Orchard’s famous doughnuts. The owner of County Line Orchard, Tom Collins, explained the purpose for the benefit.

CLO-Veterans-Benefit 2012-2“The money raised will be donated to four different organizations,” Collins said. “It’s going to VFW of Hobart, The American Legion of Hobart, Disabled Veterans Chapter 17 in Hammond, NWI Vet Center out of Crown Point.”

The music was wonderful, and the crowd, many of whom were veterans themselves, was lively. The evening went off smoothly with the help of County Line Orchard’s terrific and always friendly event staff.
