Coolspring Elementary: Jeans for JA

Coolspring-Elementary-Jeans-for-JA-2016Junior Achievement representatives stopped by Coolspring Elementary School on December 20 to collect a big check from students. The $680.59 check represented proceeds from a districtwide "Jeans for JA" day held in November, when students and staff at all eight MCAS elementary buildings could wear jeans by donating 50 cents.

Junior Achievement is a program taught by volunteers at the elementary, middle and high school levels in Michigan City and across LaPorte County. Its lessons foster work readiness, entreperneurship, and financial literacy skills. For more information visit http://www.jani.org/la-porte-county.
