CompressAir Dives Head First into Community Involvement

Along with the company’s efficient and reliable service, CompressAir representatives team up with their customers to reduce energy costs and maximize their compressed air systems’ efficiency. With such an emphasis on doing right by the customer, it’s only fitting that CompressAir invests additional time and energy in the community it serves.

October was a busy month for CompressAir, as company representatives were involved with various community activities occurring within and around La Porte County. The company prides itself on integrating itself in events that benefit the area, and this month illustrated that pride.

On October 2, CompressAir kicked off the month by attending the Greater Elkhart Chamber Biz-Ness Expo. The expo serves as Elkhart’s premier Business to Business networking event that allowed local organizations to mingle and connect. CompressAir did just that, by representing the company with loyalty and proactivity.

Handley Elementary School, located in La Porte, hosted their 3rd Annual Walk-A-Thon on October 5. The fundraising effort benefitted students in a variety of ways, with each dollar going back towards extra playground and recess equipment, classroom materials, shared chrome books, field trips, and much more. CompressAir donated to the Walk-A-Thon this year, eager to help nurture and grow future leaders.

The company didn’t stop there, though. Marketing Manager Brittany Fisher joined the 3rd grade class for their afternoon walk around Kiwanis Field for the Walk-A-Thon itself. The event was a fun success; the fresh air, exercise, and break from the classroom came complete with foam Handley Trojan Spirit hats, raffle prizes, and mixing and mingling.

The Handley Elementary School Facebook page revealed the school’s excitement over the event’s success: “Thanks to those that participated and supported the students' efforts! We will be able to provide the students with opportunities, experiences, and supplies that otherwise would not have been possible. THANK YOU!”

This month, CompressAir also joined the Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce. This exciting opportunity will allow the company to grow and connect with even more community ventures.

“CompressAir is excited to be a part of Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce and become more involved in our community!” Fisher said.

On October 18, CompressAir jumpstarted its new membership with the Chamber, participating in the La Porte Chamber Job Hiring Expo to network with those in the area and cultivate relationships with potential employees.

In addition to October’s whirlwind of activities, CompressAir supported many 4-H participants this summer at the La Porte County Fair. CompressAir continued to be a sponsor of La Porte Crush Baseball.
