City of LaPorte CDBG Program Schedules a Public Meeting

city-of-laporteThe City of LaPorte Office of Community Development and Planning will hold a public meeting on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 801 Michigan Ave., LaPorte, Ind. to solicit community input on identifying community needs and priorities to included in the 2014-2019 Community Development Block Grant Consolidated Plan.

In addition to identifying community needs and priorities, interested citizens and agencies can provide comment on a Citizen Participation Plan and Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing.

The City is currently preparing a five-year strategic plan to use federal funding provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for housing, homeless, infrastructure and public service activities. Comments from the community will determine the use of federal funding throughout the next five years.
