City of La Porte Police Chief Paul Brettin (far left) welcomes new officer Aaron Stewart of Rolling Prairie Wednesday, June 3, 2020, in La Porte. Stewart, who most recently served as a jail officer at the LaPorte County Jail, will attend the Northwest Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in August of this year.
