2014-Liberty-Bible-Potluck-and-Baptism-01We are excited to announce that Temple Worship Center from Michigan City and Liberty Bible Church from LaPorte came together for a combined “potluck” meal and Baptism on Sunday July 6th. The meal was attended by close to 150 people and was held at Cummings Lodge on Stone Lake.

The Baptism in Stone Lake followed and involved youth and adults from both churches following Christ in Baptism. Pastor Ron Gaston from Temple Worship Center and Pastor Mike Sutton officiated the service. The service involved singing led by Rachel Paarlberg, Joshua Cornwell and Erika Dutcher of the songs, “Grace Like Rain” and “How Can I Keep from Singing”

Twelve people shared their testimonies of how they had trusted Christ as their Savior and how Christ has changed their lives. Following the testimonies they were baptized in Stone Lake. The group included: Nicole Kindig, Sydney Watson, Molly Hodge, Hailey Aubin, Bethany Figolah, Jeff Higdon, Jefrey Higdon, Jordan Higdon, Kelly Koehler, John McComas, Austin Hnes, Andrew Schuelke, Kameron Muhammond, Kayla Brown, Annette Tabor, Ashley Meeks and Alana Eckwood.

This combined service is part of a continuing effort to join hands in ministry in many different ways between these churches.
