Chesterton High School gymnastics team takes DAC title

Chesterton High School hosted the Duneland Athletic Conference (DAC) gymnastics meet this Saturday. The schools in attendance were Chesterton, Crown Point, Lake Central, LaPorte, Merrillville, Michigan City, Portage, and Valparaiso. Although Valparaiso had three gymnasts in the top six for the all-around score category, the Chesterton Trojans took the win for the day by .35 of a point.

For the all-around category in sixth place from Portage was Payton Peele with a score of 36.275. In fifth place from Valparaiso was Molly Dreher with a score of 36.3. In fourth place from Valparaiso was Sabrina Falk with a score of 36.7. In third place from Chesterton was Caitlyn Cook with a score of 37.4. In second place from Valparaiso was Gabi Grisafi with a score of 37.875. And in first place from Chesterton was Mia Pak with a score of 39.025. 

For the team results, in eighth place with a score of 88.075 was Michigan City. In seventh place with a score of 98.55 was LaPorte. In sixth place with a score of 104.225 was Merrillville. In fifth place with a score of 107.4 was Crown Point. In fourth place with a score of 108.175 was Portage. In third place with a score of 109.95 was Lake Central. In second place with a score of 111.65 was Valparaiso. And finally, in first place with a score of 112 was Chesterton.
