The Independent Cat Society is issuing an urgent plea on behalf of a pair of beautiful, bonded cats in immediate need of a forever home.
Sadly, their guardian, who lovingly fostered them for the last few years, is ill and can no longer personally take care of them.
Originally part of two bonded pairs, Callie and Cathoula have just seen the other pair, Damien and Jimmy, adopted, and are more eager than ever to find a loving home of their own.
Both are between 6 and 7 years old, and Callie, the female, has been spayed, while Cathoula, the male, has been neutered.
As indoor cats only, they are affectionate and playful, well behaved and fully litter box trained. Cathoula is a little shyer and needs a little extra patience and love to get adjusted but both would make a wonderful addition to your home and family.
ICS will accept the pair back at their shelter, but because the both have known the love and privacy of a home for so long, they are hoping that one home in the community will adopt these two, and love and safeguard them always.

Founded in 1977, the Independent Cat Society (ICS) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) no-kill feline shelter located in Westville and serves all of Northwest Indiana. Their mission is to rescue, shelter, and find adoptive homes for the community’s homeless cats, and to promote the responsible spaying and neutering of cats everywhere.
Run exclusively by unpaid volunteers, ICS is funded almost entirely through membership and adoption fees, private tax-deductible contributions and fundraising events.
