Northwest Indiana boasts two teams in the Top 10 of the latest Indiana Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA), which was released on Monday.
Bowman Academy now holds the seventh ranking, while Lake Central is slotted at number nine, sharing the ranking with Columbus North High School.
The Eagles and Indians were the only teams from Lake, Porter and La Porte counties cracking the Top 20, but Lowell and Munster received votes in the poll.
With La Porte's first loss of the season occurring Saturday at the hands of Mishawaka, the 15-1 Slicers dropped in the girls poll to the number eight spot.
Lake Central (15-2) is now ranked No. 12.
Merrillville received votes in the girls poll.
