Boston Students Helping to Decorate State House Christmas Tree

Boston-Trim-a-Tree-2012Boston Middle School 6th grade art students will be participating in the annual Indiana State Holiday Tree Trim Program sponsored by the Indiana State House’s 2012 Tree Trim Committee and First Lady Cheri Daniels, Honorary Chair.  This year’s theme for the Indiana State Holiday Tree Trim Program is, “Hoosier Pride.”

All Indiana 1st through 6th grade students create ornaments that depict Indiana’s state symbols or emblems, such as the cardinal, tulip tree, peony, flag or seal.

Boston Middle School 6th grade students will be joining other Indiana students in the celebration by contributing their textile art stitched Christmas ornaments to decorate the State House Christmas tree in the Rotunda.
