Boston Students Enjoy Career Day


Boston Middle School 7th grade students enjoyed Career Day on Thursday, November 15, 2012. Set up as a Career Fair, students were able to visit with approximately 15 out of 26 community members who volunteered to showcase their careers. Students asked the volunteers questions about their careers, including what their favorite part of their job was, how much they make, and what type of schooling they needed. The students learned many things that will help them plan their futures while having a good time talking to the volunteers.



The community members in attendance were Doris Agemy ((R.N.), Shannon Barnes (Stateline Stables), Cindy Bercham (CEO YMCA), Mrs. Bernard and Christy Satoski (Animal Control), Penny Billings (Speech Pathologist), Elizabeth Bowen (Personal Trainer), Lynne Budig (Baker Della Nona’s Cookies), Jen Bumgardner (Cosmetologist at Generations), Tina Chase (Physical Therapist), Brandy Crum(Athletic Trainer), David Feikes (Teacher), Mitch Feikes (Construction), Carrie Georgion (Pharmacist), Lisa Haislet (Photographer), Stacey Harris(Advertising Executive), Dana Henderson (R.N.), Ken Iliff (Law Enforcement), Bill Kaminski (Lawyer), Gillian Klieft (Platinum Gymnastics), Linda Kuball (Occupational Therapist), Mayor Blair Milo, Rachel Otwinowski (HR at IU Health LaPorte Hospital), Eric Smith ((Mechanic), Dean Woodson (Tool and Dye), and Jeff Zigler (Pastor).
