Boston Middle School Staff vs. Students Basketball Game Was a Blast!

BMS-Staff-vs-Student-3Boston Middle School hosted the annual Staff vs. Student Basketball Game on Jan. 25th from 3:00pm to 4:00pm in the main gym. The gym was packed with spectators watching the faculty pull out the stops to be victorious over the students in a healthy game of basketball featuring 8th grade girls versus the female teachers while the 8th grade boys played against the male faculty.

Proceeds from the game were dedicated to Riley Hospital culminating to one thousand dollars thanks to admission prices and the goodwill of our school community. American Heart Association shirts were sold prior to and during the game in order to gather funds which resulted in over a thousand dollars as well for that great organization.

BMS-Staff-vs-Student1The BMS Student Council crew helped organize and advertise the event with the leadership of Bonnie DeWolf, our very own 8th grade social studies teacher. We are very proud of our accomplishments and our school community for the support. The students will be looking for a different rematch in the form of volleyball at our next fundraiser, the “SIDE OUT” event, which will be April 12th from 3:00-4:00pm in our main gym. Students and parents are welcome to attend.
