On September 11, 2015, the sixth grade teachers at Boston Middle School took money raised by the sixth grade and donated the money to local radio station, WCOE. The radio station had employees sitting on the roof of the radio station for 3 days straight raising money for the La Porte Jaycees Deserving Children's Shopping Tour.
