Boo at The Zoo is a Treat for the Whole Family

Washington-Park-Zoo-LogoScared that you don’t have any plans for Halloween this year? Fly your broomstick on down to the Washington Park Zoo on Saturday, October 27 and spend a kid-friendly, merry, not scary evening with the animals.

Boo at the Zoo is all about offering a safe trick or treating experience for your ghost and goblins! Area businesses sponsor booths along the decorated zoo paths and hand out candy to all the kids. We are also still looking for station sponsors, so if you are interested please contact the Zoo immediately.

This year we have some special top-quality guest Star Wars characters from the Northern darkness squad (www.StarWarsIndiana.com) to hand out candy, as well as the Northwest Indiana Ghostbusters (facebook.com/NWIGhostbuster) will be here with their car. This would be a great Halloween photo opportunity for the whole family, especially those Star Wars fans.

Boo at the Zoo starts at 4:30 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m... Tickets are on sale now at the Zoo admission office. It is recommended that you buy your tickets in advance or arrive early to avoid the long lines that start forming early. Zoo gates will not open until 4:30 p.m. The event will be held rain or shine.

Reduced admission rates with all proceeds benefiting the Zoo: Non member adults $3.00, Non-member child $2.00, Members $1.00
